A report submitted by former Andhra Pradesh DGP, C Anjaneya Reddy to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam this August shows out why the religious shrine could be a sitting duck for terrorists. The document points out that there are 317 vacancies in TTD security out of a sanctioned strength of 498. And out of 242 special protection force personnel, only 33 are armed.

Dec 2, 2008 - I've been to Tirupati when i was 12 and that was 14 years ago. Even back then that place was packed with people. This place does make a good target for terrorists as they can inflict max damage :(
