Dec 4, 2008 - clearly most of the sikh panth needs help.
Singhster1 Says:
Dec 4, 2008 - Sat Sri Akal Ji Desifob3 I think you can make your point without cursing. And just bcoz one person is preaching such stuff doesn't mean "most" of the Sikh panth needs help. I actually lost all respect when he just started off by saying, "eh taan hinduan da kam hai" Thats just ignorant and biased. I personally don't think dancing is wrong. Bcoz then you can say watching tv, reading magazine etc is all wrong since it could all possibly spur your vices. I forgot the page/line in the SGGS ji where
Singhster1 Says:
Dec 4, 2008 - guru ji says even if the cow is off to the fields to eat grass, her thoughts are still with its calf back at home. Another example was where a kid goes off plays with his/her friends flying kites but the kids thoughts are with Waheguru. So basically just means that as long as our thoughts are pure and devoted to Waheguru ji it doesn't matter if you are dancing or playing. Jus my 2cents.

Dec 17, 2008 - Wow. This is the saddest thing I have seen in a long time. Its pretty clear that Bhai Amolak Singh is inhabiting a world different than most. In fact, he seems to be putting on weight. Maybe some physical movement would be good for him. None of the gurus did bhangra fine, but none of them were fat either!
pavan824 Says:
Dec 20, 2008 - lool funny how people hate the truth and people sayin hes fat if you even touch him you are died lol hes being doing gatka for all hes life
pavan824 Says:
Dec 20, 2008 - when theres guru ji's bani you have then tell me what use is it dancing. Even bhai nand lal je said dat even if a person listens to those kinds of lyrics he is a fool.
gagandeepkhalsa Says:
Dec 20, 2008 - What truth is there to what he's saying. Learn how to write in gramatically correct English if you're going to make a point. The weight reference was obviously trying to make a joke, but I doubt he's some gatka master today. You are taking Bhai Nand Lal Ji's comment out of context:"O my fascinating Lord, let me not listen to the faithless cynic, singing his songs and tunes, and chanting his useless words."Read the first line. It contextualizes the second sentence.
gagandeepkhalsa Says:
Dec 20, 2008 - If you dont understand that, then you're too wrapped up in your own ideology to debate.Tell me where in the Guru Ji's bani where it says that we should do Raen Sabahyee? That we should roll our heads around and move around during shabad? That we should eat out of steel? That a jatha that creates its own rehit is a good thing? That you should tell other people that they are not good Sikhs and instead that they are Hindus, as if Hinduism is an awful thing to begin with?
GKBATL Says:
Dec 20, 2008 - Dear Sikh Brothers and Sisters, Don't let these 'Pritans' talibanize our very new-age faith. What does Gurbani tell about hiking or skiing or any form of fitness and enjoyment ? You got to care for your body and mind and that is exactly what dancing is. Healthy for both body and mind. (I am not talking about Pole dancing here). All I can say is, question these people before you expose your kids to them in camps and such.
pavan824 Says:
Dec 21, 2008 - lol first off all tell me yea, would you dance infront of guru jee and you tell me what guru gobind singh jee would say if hes sons and daughters are dancing like monkeys.
AJ93S Says:
Dec 25, 2008 - u wana do bhangra , go ahead, no one is stopping u, but remember the facts, remember your history, those great shaheeds of the panth didn't get to their avastha through doing bhangra; they kept fit not by dancing like a horny monkey but by training the arts of fighting. All i'm saying is theres nothing wrong with bhangra but depends who u r, the gurmukh or manmukh\; for a manmukh like me dancing theres nothing wrong with that but 4 gurmukh like bhai amolak singh dancing is wrong
AJ93S Says:
Dec 25, 2008 - those of you who are speaking ill of bhai sahib bhai amolak singh i think u should shut ur mouthy faces & think twice be4 u say a thing; amolak singh is a true gurmukh, hav u heard him doing kirtan, hav u ever met him, let me tell u i hav and his knowledge/avastha is too gd. He had people like bhai fauja singh, jarnail singh as his sangat wen he was much younger, he is too great. if ppl like u slander gursikhs like him ur guranteed a place in narak
AJ93S Says:
Dec 25, 2008 - it is so true! pavan; if you say the truth today ppl get pain in their asses which enables their mouth to talk crap with their argumentative point of view and limited knowledge; who am i to say anything but; guys juz do simran and read gurbani and guru will bless u with knowledge and sumat that wen someone speaks the truth again u won't get pain and will accept. When Guru Nanak dev ji spoke truth in his time many ppl of that time disagreed and rejected it coz it was the truth, thinkbout it
gagandeepkhalsa Says:
Dec 25, 2008 - Well then it seems to be the case that most 'Sikhs' are actually manmukhs since I would put fourth that most 'Sikhs' dance. So if this entire arguement is about reinforcing your twisted belief that the only Sikhs are the ones who follow the extensive laundry list of right and wrong that people like Amolak Singh spew fourth, then there is no help for you.
gagandeepkhalsa Says:
Dec 25, 2008 - Horny monkeys? Haha. Search: PAU BHANGRA and tell me what that is...This is beautiful. It shows the rich history and culture within which Sikhi emerged. I agree that some contemporary bhangra is filled with lust and maya, but what about dances like ballet? Is it so wrong to dance and have fun if the lyrics and moves are clean? I wonder if this 'anti-bhangra' movement by the likes of Amolak Singh is a way to scare their youth and keep them more closely to the jatha?
gagandeepkhalsa Says:
Dec 25, 2008 - I guess this line of thinking makes sense when you edit the rehit and make it fir your own beliefs too, huh?
pavan824 Says:
Dec 28, 2008 - mann its kaljug, its usless arguing accept the truth now or later and im sure you wont be dancing when ur gona get judged
pavan824 Says:
Dec 28, 2008 - mann challoo we tryed nothing we can doo now,but best to stop as soon as possible cus never no when its yor turn to die
gagandeepkhalsa Says:
Dec 29, 2008 - Pavan nothing has been resolved or proven. Just because Amolak Singh says something is true, doesnt make it so. Just like when the AKJ dismisses some parts of the rehit it doesnt make it right. And additionally, anyone can play the 'taking Gurbani out of context' game if you like:"As it pleases God, they dance."This Shabad is by Guru Arjan Dev Ji in Raag Gauree on Pannaa 277
khardkooz Says:
Jan 1, 2009 - bhai saab g is 100% right..........

Dec 4, 2008 - fucking idiot.
