Nov 20, 2008 - DS9 was indeed great, due to the morally blurred genius of characters like Quark and Garek. I have hope for the new film, 'cos the original series didn't really have the slightly self-righteous thing of NG or Voyager... or mountains of techno-babble... and being that far back they can probably do a near-reinvent like Doctor Who did back in 2005:)The 'issue' will be the hardcore fans, but for me, as long as they are good stories, and I'm not being patronised by Councillor Troy, I'll be fine:)
