After the speech at the UN General Assembly, Morales visited Washington DC on Nov.19 and met with various US congressmen as well as high ranking officials on the Organization of American States. In an exclusive interview with Associated Press after the meeting, the Bolivian leader said they have discussed the bilateral relationship between Bolivia and the US, but denied that the purpose of his trip was to engage in any negotiations with members of the new administration.
