When he was caught he said something like "Put me on saline, I don't want to die". Indian police are not "hindered" by a lot of privacy laws and they can(and do) tap phones, nab people from the streetor do pretty much anything they want without anybody making a big deal out of it.Not to say it is right but it is a lot easier for police to stop terrorism in India than in US. What stops the police from picking out the suspects is the vote bank politics of ruling liberal party of India (Congress)
